Comparing “old school” actual hand drawn sketch with “hi-tech” graphic tablet sketch. Both done in about eight to ten minutes, from reference.
I could not resist the little elephant at the left; on the photo, he looked as though he was smiling… and who can resist a smiling baby elephant!
The overall sketch is much better; but I’ve been using pencil on board for decades; this process is almost second nature.
The lion I posted a couple of weeks ago, is sketched on the tablet. It’s okay, but not as nuanced as the pencil. This is where the phrase; “practice makes perfect” comes into play.
But that’s the crux of it; more work.
Which is what I need to do right now.
Lemme know when it’s time to go home, will ya??!
